Why Pisobid Dont Have Bots

Hi Guys! When Pisobid was launched 3-4 weeks ago, it received various comments from the Filipino folks. Majority of the people said that it is legit and is not a fraud, others still claims that it is a scam. One comment that caught my attention was the issue about bots. Several people said that Pisobid has with them "BOTS" to manipulate the bidding process so that it will reach the ROI.

Definition of Terms:

BOTSAn Internet Bot is a software application that does repetitive and automated tasks in the Internet that would otherwise take humans a long time to do.

ROI = Return of Investment

NOTE:

  • Commonly, the value per bid may range from ₱6-10
  • Price starts at ₱1.00
  • Every bid is ₱0.01
  • Meaning, if the highest bid is ₱54.16, total bids will be computed as ₱54.16 - ₱1.00 = ₱53.16/5316 bids.

Well, if you have read or heard a certain person saying this one, probably he/she did not experience the actual bidding or even see Pisobid. Why? Here's why:

7/27/2011  - P1000 Starbucks Gift Card original price ₱1000.00 sold for 1.28
meaning: 1.28-1.00 = .28 or 28bids x 10 = 280

7/26/2011  - Incubus World Tour VIP Tix original price ₱11620.00 sold for 2.47
meaning: 2.47-1.00 = 1.47 or 147 bids x 10 = P1470

7/26/2011  - P1000 Globe Load original price ₱1000.00 sold for 1.61

7/25/2011 - P1000 Globe + P1000 SBUX original price ₱2000.00 sold for 2.27
meaning: 2.27 - 1.00 = 1.27 or 127 bids x P1,270

7/25/2011 - Apple iPod Nano 8GB original price ₱7200.00 sold for 2.11
meaning: 2.11 - 1.00 = 1.11 or 111 bids x 10 = P1,110

7/24/2011  - P1000 Seattle's Best GC original price ₱1000.00 sold for 1.12

7/22/2011  - Samsung Galaxy Tab original price ₱21990.00 sold for 10.38

7/21/2011  - iPad 2 32GB WiFi (Black) original price ₱28990.00 sold for 20.35
meaning: 20.35 - 1.00 = 19.35 or 1935 bids x 10 = P19,350

7/21/2011  - Samsung Galaxy S II original price ₱35000.00 sold for 23.66

7/15/2011  - HTC Sensation Android Phone  original price ₱33000.00 sold for 15.89

7/14/2011  - Canon EOS 1100D DSLR original price ₱31950.00 sold for 11.38
meaning: 11.38 - 1.00 = 10.38 or 1038 bids x 10 = P10,380

That're just half of July. I couldn't see the first half of July and June auctions.

Now what?

If you noticed, the value of the bids per item is very less than it's original price! Now, if Pisobid has BOTS of any kind to do dirty jobs for them, they should have used them here and the other items before? They should have used them so that they will reach the ROI!! But no, there's nothing like that in Pisobid. The movement of the prices really depends on the interest of the people.

For me, the site is pure and clean fun with lots of exciting prizes up for grabs for every Filipino people who loves to experience the excitement of bidding.

Pisobid: THE BASICS!

Hi guys! This post will be a guide to new Pisobidders that might find the website a little confusing. The truth is, it's not. Below is an image of what the actual site look like and the corresponding meaning of what's written inside.

Lime Colored Box - contains the HOME, HOW IT WORKS, WINNERS, BUY BIDS, CONTACT US LINKS.
  • Home Link - Is the homepage where you can see the present auctioned items and their corresponding ending times.
  • How It Works Link - You can see the mechanics of Pisobidding and Frequently Asked Questions with their corresponding answers.
  • Winners Link - Contains the list of the past Pisobid winners and the items they won, the date when they won, the highest bid and the username of the highest bidder.
  • Buy Bids - Instructions on how to buy additional bids.
  • Contact Us - You can find the email address of Pisobid's customer support group. If ever you have questions about the game or any technical difficulties about the site, you can ask them here.

Red Colored Box - Is the name of the items in auction. In the example, the item in auction is a  Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Yellow Colored Box - The items original price. NOT THE PRICE THAT YOU WILL PAY FOR IF YOU WIN. The example has an original price of 21,990 pesos.

Black Colored Box - The countdown timer. After the regular time runs out, this timer will be set to 15, 10, and even seconds to give time to other bidders to bid. This will go on as long as there are other bidders who will bid for the item. The timer depends on Pisobid.

Green Colored Box - The regular countdown timer. This might be set by Pisobid for 2 days to let Pisobidders prepare.

Rose Colored Box - THE BID button. You cannot bid if you are not logged in, not registered and if you do not have enough bids.

Purple Colored Box - If you win in the bidding, THIS IS THE PRICE THAT YOU WILL PAY. Everytime a bidder bids, 1 cent will be added here. The highest bidder after the time runs out wins!

Brown Colored Box - That is the name of the present highest bidder of the item.

Maroon Colored Box - is the image of the item in auction. (pretty huh..)

There are 2 types of bidding/auction

A Bid Back Auctionidentified with the small hammer icon. If you lose a Bids Back auction, you will have the option to buy the product at the listed retail price and get all of your bids on that auction returned to you! This means that you can freely bid as much as you want to try and score the product at an unbelievable price!

A Cherry AuctionA cherry auction is a special auction for PisoBid users who have not yet won an auction. These kind of auctions can be identified by the cherry cherry auction icon icon

That's it guys! I hope this can help! Happy Bidding!

13 Causes Of Back Acne

People who have back acne often ask, “Why am I having this?”  Often describes by the experts as the eruptive skin condition due to bacteria that develops in oil which is lodged in your gland beneath your pores.  The foreign element which carries the bacteria will then harms the skin which causes the disgusting and annoying whiteheads or blackheads.
Back Acne
People who suffer from this condition often called the thing as “bacne” which is short for back acne.  Same as a normal acne, bacne also is developed by the same factors - bacteria blocked in the pores, acne on the back develops.  Although the skin on our back is much thicker compared to our face, acne on the back is a bit hard to cure and be successful on it.  It also targets your chest and buttocks too!
Having acne on the back can also be caused by the following factors:
·         Body fit shirts and heavy sweating.  These two factors also make your existing case even harder to treat.
·         The condition of your environment
·         Stressful lifestyle.  Too much work or studying can also be the reason for back acne.
·          Hormonal imbalance.  They said that in your puberty phase, acne on the back will occur.
The question is how can it be avoided and cured?  If your acne on the back has been caused by the typical factors same as on ordinary face acne, then you have no problem.

You must remember these simple rules in treating your condition:
·         Eliminate the known factors that cause the acne.  It’s simple but is really effective.
·         Obviously, one should not take the method of treating the inflamed skin by irritating even more.  These include scrubbing or rubbing the part which is inflamed by some acne treating product.  Doing this might just complicate the situation making it harder to treat.
·         By doing simple methods like cleaning the affected section most of the time will halt bacteria development.  Wash the acne on the back if you are excessively sweating so that it will not be trapped in your pores that might cause your condition.
·         You can also use a gentle and oil free skin moisturizer to ensure the balance of your skin.
·         Choose the soap that has been regarded as “mild” or “gentle” and avoid the use of commercial soaps because it tends to dry your skin that might worsen the case.
·         In drying your skin, use a clean towel and make sure that you will not rub it, dab it instead.
·         After taking a bath, wait for your body to dry before dressing up.
·         Excessively hot showers could also irritate your back. This is because too much heat could generate more oil.
·         Dress up in loose shirts or dresses that are made in cotton.  This allows your back to breathe thus preventing the blockage of the pores and eventually avoiding the back acne condition.
It doesn’t matter if you use the expensive or the affordable skin care brands, the important thing is that you should not worsen the affected area that might complicate the condition of your skin.

PISOBID: 9 TIPS FOR A POSITIVE BIDDING EXPERIENCE

Gwen Salazar Asking "How U Do It" To A Pisobid Winner
Pisobid, as described in my first post, is the new penny auction site in the Philippines. Its main objective is to create an enticing and exciting bidding experience for the people who want to acquire a certain item in auction. Although it is not guaranteed that everyone will win something, the experience is totally worth it.

Tips? In order for everyone to have fighting chance in the bidding, one should first observe the website set up and how it works. This will surely save your first 5 free bids (that might win you a prize). Aside from this, you should also follow this simple guide to assure a positive experience while you are bidding for an item:

The Detail Page Of The Item

  • Choose one item that interests you the most and put all your attention to it. Click on its detail and participate on the bidding there. Pisobid does not recommend their bidders to bid on different items at one time. Control yourself and try not to be over confident.

Familiarize The Bidding Process

  • As I have said, an amateur bidder should first observe and learn how the auction works. Try to open the Pisobid website but do not participate first. Observe how the timer goes and formulate your own strategy that you might find effective.
  • Money is a big factor in bidding. You should determine your budget and stay with it. After you have formulated your strategy, determine the number of bids that you are willing to use and stay with it.
Relax and Take A Break

  • Do not tire yourself: take breaks, breathe and regroup. Bidding can be tiresome both mentally and physically sometimes.

  • If drunk or on medication, avoid participating in the auction. As mentioned above, bidding can drain you both mentally and physically. You should be well rested if you want to win.

  • Do not push yourself to the limit. If you think you have exceeded your budget or too tired to participate, just STOP. Save your remaining bids for future use.
  • The Pisobid website is dynamic so one should shut down any applications while you are participating in the auction. Softwares like iTunes, uTorrent etc. could slow your computer and might affect its performance.
  • Update your browser to the latest version for a much better computer performance.
  • Stop any programs that are using the internet.
So there it is, 9 of the best tips for a positive bidding experience. Follow this guide and you might get the item with a price way lesser than its original plus several "Congratulations" from co-Pisobidders. Goodluck!
